I’m originally from is El Salvador. At the age of 5 months, on May 8, 1980, I was adopted by two loving parents from the United States. During the 5 months that I was in El Salvador, the country was going through its own Civil War. The orphanage that I was at didn’t have the necessities an infant needs to be properly taken care of. Therefore, my parents were sending money down to them so I could get that care.
Unfortunately, the money was being used towards weapons for underground criminals. When my parents arrived to take me to my new home, I was very malnourished. I was very sick with various illnesses throughout my childhood because of this. My Mom was taking me to doctors’ appointments because of things varying from ear infections to strep throat. I even needed to be hospitalized for asthma. Not much was known about asthma back then, so many doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. My Mom would spend the day at the hospital with me and my Dad would come to the hospital at night. Every night they would sit in my hospital room while I slept.
In 1985, my Mom found out that she was suffering from diabetes and needed to be on insulin. Twenty-four years later, she found out that her kidneys were failing due to the aforementioned reason. She needed a kidney transplant.
Immediately, I told my Dad that I would be willing to donate my kidney to her. My parents, being the loving parents that they are, didn’t want me to go through a procedure like that. Blood relatives offered, but due to their own medical complications, they were unable to do so.
I kept on pursuing to be tested in order to find out if I would be an organ and tissue match for my Mom. From July of 2009 to September of 2009, my Mom and I were going through many tests to see if this would be the case. In October of 2009, we as a family learned that my Mom and I were a perfect tissue and organ match.
On Monday, October 12, 2009, we had the surgery. It was a complete success! The doctor said the surgery went very well and there were no complications! It is now over a year later, and the kidney is working very well!
I like to tell everyone this story, not because I want to sound like a hero,(I believe God did all the work. I just volunteered) but because I want people out in the world to know that miracles do happen!
Around the time that this was happening, my Dad emailed our local news station (without my Mom’s or my own knowledge at first). The station interviewed us on the miracle. You can view the video of the broadcast below:
I hope everyone enjoys this miracle, just as much as I enjoyed doing this for my Mom!

November 2, 2009 my best friend Charles was killed in a car accident. On January 13 2010 My four friends and myself (age 17) were driving around because we were bored. Everyone in the car was really close to Charles. At an intersection a van t-boned my car. By the way the van who it me was driven by a drunk driver and it was a hit n’ run. My air bags didn’t go off. I should be dead.
I can’t remember anything but a voice that said “I’m here.” And I walked away with little injuries. That night I woke up talking to myself, and I believe I was talking to Charles. I remember waking up saying “But it hurts so much.” I believed Charles saved my life.

I was new Christian, on fire for the Lord. Like so many “new” Christians before me, I was eager to make an impact on the world, by saving souls and spreading the word. But I didn’t really have any gift for teaching or preaching, or so I thought.
I worked at a small grocery store in our home town. I never saw anyone but the locals until one day the cash register needed to be repaired. Business had been really slow and I was the only one working when the repairman came. He was a pleasant looking fellow, with sad eyes. He looked as though he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. As soon as I laid eyes on him the Lord spoke to my heart, “Tell him about me. Tell him why you love me.”
So I began to pour out of me all the love that God had shown me. The repairman worked and I talked, all the while he never made a comment. I would pause from time to time to check with the Lord to see if I should continue to talk. Basically for 45 minutes I talked. Finally the repairman said, “I’m going to have to take this in to the shop. I’ll bring you in loaner from the truck and then I’m going to tell you something.”
“Oh boy,” I thought, dreading what he might say. The repairman returned with the loaner, hooked it up and turned to me and said,”You don’t know me and you don’t know anything about me but I’m a preacher at a small church in Stillwater. I repair registers through the week to pay the bills but I preach on Sunday. But lately, I’ve felt like I’m wasting my time. Nobody’s getting anything out of my sermons. I felt like I was a dry river bottom rather than rivers of living waters flowing from me.
So on the way down here today I poured my heart to God. I said if I’m suppose to keep preaching then you’re going to have to send me somebody to convince me. If not, Sunday will be my last day in the pulpit. I was ready to quit.” He paused for a moment, with tears in his eyes. “You did it, you’ve convinced to continue preaching. For that I thank you.”
Through tears of my own, I watched as he turned and walked from the store. A great lesson was learned that day, it’s not hard to work for the Lord. You need only to follow His lead and good things happen. God loves His children and he appoints their steps.

I was born February 13, 1995 and when I was born, I had a problem breathing. The nurses didn’t know what was wrong. They did tests and a lawyer in Utah said he read an article in the newspaper about this rare thing. My birth or biological mom and dad both had recessive genes so they collided and made a glitch. The nurses tested my blood twice and confirmed that I had the rare thing. I was dying fast.
So they said they could either do surgery or put me down. My adoptive mom and dad said they weren’t giving up. So they called every doctor in every state until they found one that knew what to do. They talked to the doctor in Maryland on the phone to see what they could do. The doctor said he had heard of it and the babies who had it got lung transplants.
And that’s what happened. They rushed me from St. George, Utah to Los Angeles, California and got me to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. There is when Dr. Starns did surgery… a double lung transplant. The lung donor was from a baby who got crushed in a car accident. His heart went to another baby. When they say that the baby who was in the car accident is not alive.. it’s not true… he’s alive.. inside me. I’m still alive today and I’m a happy 14 year old. They said I wasn’t going to make it till kindergarten… but they were wrong… I lived.
I don’t remember having the surgery or being born but I know that wherever I go, God is always with me no matter what. He’s always helping me whenever I’m right or wrong. I’m very lucky and I’m lucky to have great parents. My birth or biological parents couldn’t keep me because they were too young, but they chose my adoptive parents and I’m glad they chose them. Just being alive is my miracle.

After three years of having a excruciating pain threw my chest and being diagnosed with a pinched nerve, I began thowing up blood. After days of human mistakes,I was finally diagnosed with malt lymphoma (STOMACH CANCER). THE DATE WAS 9-20-2006. THE PROGNOSIS was very poor.
I had a wondeful, caring doctor who first put me on medicine called a prepac. After 4 days, I remember waking up and thinking My God, so this is how I’m suppose to feel. The difference was so great and the pain threw my chest was disappearing.
By my third biopsy in January of 2007, I was cancer free. I ask my doctor if this would be considered a MIRACLE. He said, Diane you must have had help from somewhere. As of this day which is 7-07-09, I SIT HERE LATE AT NIGHT,JUST RECIEVING THE MEDICAL REPORTS, WHICH DO SHOW GOD SAVED ME. FULLY CANCER FREE, in a matter of 4 months at that time.
And I still have my own stomach without needing chemo. The doctor told me his next step at the time was going to be to remove my stomach and start me on chemo.I know the Lord gave me this chance to help others and give them hope. There really is a God.
I AM LIVING PROOF. I am not sure how to go about submitting my medical records to have it acknowledged. But this is where I am starting. God is with us. Have hope. No situation is too big for the Lord to turn around.
Thank you my Lord and saviour for my being here to write this today. Blessings.

I’m a single mother of two–a boy and a girl about one year apart. A few years ago, back in the Spring of 2001, I was driving home from the park where we had my son’s 2nd birthday celebration. My kids were in the back seat of my 1989 white Toyota Corolla. I was driving on the 405 North freeway from the 2nd to the slow lane. As I was driving, I had decided to change lanes so I could drive a little bit faster. I wanted to get home quickly because the kids were cranky and I was tired from the whole event.
When I was about to change lanes, on my right side I saw a gray Integra ( I believe ) that was going at the same pace as me and changing lanes at the same time. So I went back to my lane where I was going more slowly. Suddenly my car jerked and started spinning. The steering wheel was out of control and I could not maneuver the car. All I was doing was holding on to my steering wheel. I looked behind me and my kids were crying so loud, that I didn’t know what to do. I told them everything well be okay, and if this was our one last day of each other, that it was going to be okay.
The car was still spinning. I looked to my front window and all I can remember was my car heading to the edge of the divider, where it was going out of the freeway. When I saw where we were heading to, I closed my eyes, and prayed to God, asking Him this one last time take care of us, to help us right now at this moment. Everything was happening so fast that I couldn’t even think anymore. After I had closed my eyes and prayed for help, my car stopped.
I opened my eyes and I looked around the area and at my kids in the back, and I cried for joy. We were all alive in the middle of the freeway. All cars stopped and just waited to see if anyone was hurt. Soon enough, three people came up to me and asked if everyone was okay, and all I said was “can I please use your phone?” They checked on my kids, and smiled and hugged them that we were all okay. Then a man came to me and handed me his phone and I called my dad to tell him that I had an accident. He came and had someone tow my car.
I never believed that a miracle could happen and it’s given by GOD, but now I believe. I am grateful my kids are alive with me to this day. I know now that I do have something to accomplish in this EARTH, if HE had given me another chance to live.

After I left my abusive husband, I moved back to my hometown. I had no idea what I was going to do and needed to be sure my family and I were safe. I was also concerned about my children’s health, especially my baby who was just 9 months old. She tends to become sick without showing any real symptoms.
After we arrived back to my hometown, something was amiss with here. I kept taking her to doctors and they kept telling me nothing was wrong. I woke up one Sunday morning, only to feel the coldest cold I have ever felt. Then I saw an angel standing to my right and was told to “leave *the name of my hometown.*” His voice was so authoritative and so magnificent, I dared not disobey. I immediately started packing and since the next train was 3 days away, I had made plans to call some churches in case I need help en route to my destination.
When we arrived at a stop for an hour layover, I took my baby to the nearest walk in clinic. The doctor examined her and explained to me, she was only there covering for another doctor and that she thinks my daughter may have double phemunia. She also explained to me that normally they would send for xrays first then call the patient if any thing was wrong. But in this case, she explained, she felt my daughter was very sick. She did give me a prescription for my daughter. I called a minister and explained my situation and they allowed me to stay with them for a few weeks.
A few days later, I did receive a call from the doctor’s office after they received the x-rays back. It turned out that my baby did in fact have double pneumonia and it was the type that could not be heard with just a stethoscope. My baby now is 21 and engaged. I thank god for the miracle of divine intercession especially for sparing my daughter’s life.

God allowed me to live three times.
The second time was in July, 2000. I’d been really sick for months and months and all I could eat was yogurt and fruit cocktail and green beans. I was in the hospital in June 2000 for 10 plus days. I passed bile from both ends for most of those days.
The Chief of the hospital told my husband and me that it was my gall bladder, but they couldn’t operate because my gall bladder wasn’t showing up as bad. I signed myself out because I decided I could go home and die. They weren’t doing anything for me there.
By the end of the next month, July, 2000, I went to a doctor’s appointment and my white blood count went to 20,000. The first time I’d been hospitalized in June, it was 15,000. I’d also like to say, the first time I went into the hospital, I’d driven myself there and had my father-in-law with me because it was his appointment day, not mine.
My doctor saw me in the waiting room and asked me what I was doing there and I told him I brought my father-in-law for his appointment. He said while you are here, let me check your white blood count, and that’s when it was 15,000.
My father-in-law was stranded. It was about an hour and a half drive from home so my husband had to come get my father-in-law. Then, on the July visit, I’d had an appointment with the eye doctor. I was out of my acid reflux medicine and went to my clinic to have it refilled.
My doc came out and said while you are here, let me check your white blood count. It was 20,000 and again, I drove myself to the hospital. My doctor informed me that there were no surgeons on duty at the VA hospital and he transported me to a civilian hospital (Rowan) there in Salisbury.
The doctor was waiting for me in the ER. He immediately sent me for an ultra sound and gave me a Demerol shot because by the time they finished the ultra sound which is not painful at all, it did leave me in pain because of the pushing of the instrument on my stomach around the gallbladder.
When the Dr. came in, he asked me if I had any family with me and I said no, but my husband was on his way because my VA doctor called him. The Dr. said it was my gall bladder and he said he was going to try to do my surgery the next day in the morning, but if he could get the crew together he wanted he’d do it at midnight. At the time he told me this, it was approx. 4:30 pm.
He kept coming in and asking me if my husband had gotten there yet. I said no. Finally at 5:45 pm, my husband arrived and my Dr. came in and asked if it was my husband. I introduced the Dr. to my husband, they shook hands and the Dr. said kiss her good-bye we are going in now to take her gall bladder out.
That was a far cry from midnight or early in the morning. He explained to my husband that it was a 45 min. surgery and I’d be in recovery about that long and if I did well, I could go home the next morning and he said if my gall bladder wasn’t inflamed he was going to use laser.
While on the operating table, both my lungs collapsed, my gall bladder was gangrene, and ruptured and dead. I also got pleurisy and pneumonia in both lungs. When the surgery was over, the Doctor told my husband I was not going to make it. I had to go on life support for a few days, then when I wasn’t doing much better, they went ahead and took me off. They never even bothered to put me in ICU.
By the grace of God, I lived and I got out of the hospital 8 days later. The Lord has been good to me. That was not my first miracle for myself. My first miracle happened years before, in 1976 I had a head-on collision going 60 mph.
I lived and had a broken neck, but didn’t know my neck had been broken until over 20 plus years later. I knew I was hurt at the time, but there was no technology to see a hairline fracture in 1976, like there is today. My head bobbed like the little dogs that people have in their cars.
I praise God for both those miracles and for the one I just got. And the most recent miracle came just a month ago. There were 2 nodules found on my left lung that the doctor thought was suspicious. The “C” word was never used. I went into the hospital on Aug 16, and had the surgery to remove those nodules that day. I had to go on life support because it was my lungs they were operating on and the ventilator helped me breathe until I could do it on my own.
I got through the surgery just fine and the nodules were benign, praise the Lord!!! I did alright for a couple of days off the life support. But, after that, I couldn’t breathe right and I had a fever of 104, they packed me in ice and I caught sepsis and also pneumonia and was put on life support again.
I saw angels in my room, 3 on the right side and 1 on the left side of my room, and I saw white angels guarding the gates of Heaven and I saw the most beautiful white light coming out of the top of the gates that these huge angels were guarding.
It was a gut wrenching experience because God allowed me to live and He also allowed me a glimpse of glory. It was so amazing that the first week I tried to talk about it, I couldn’t do it without crying and sobbing my heart out.
The doctors gave me a 50-50 chance. Because of the Lord and His love for me, His child, I lived. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul. I was in the hospital for about 16 days with 14 of them in ICU. I give all the glory to the Lord for loving me enough to let me live through all these things.
I also praise Him for allowing me to have angels to watch over me and protect me and I am so blessed to be able to see a glimpse of Heaven. God is truly wonderful and loving and kind. Most of all, He is real, very real and I was on lots of prayer lists and I feel like every prayer that went up for me is why I am here today recuperating.

A few years ago,a friend and I took our boys swimming at a local beach. It was a very hot day so the beach was very crowded. As the boys went out into the water, my friend and I sat nearby talking to each other but keeping a close eye on the boys.
A few seconds later we looked back out to check on them and I didn’t see my son. I got up and went closer to the water to see if I could see him in the large crowd of swimmers. What I saw next was the most frightening sight I’ve ever experienced.
My son had gone too far out into the water and was drowning. Every time he would come up he scream for help. Not being able to swim myself, I felt completely helpless as a mother. I began to yell for the lifeguards but no one seemed to hear me.
Finally, a tall man with long hair and a beard appeared carrying my son out of the water. I was so happy my son was safe I grabbed him from the man and hugged him as hard as I could.
When I turned around to thank the man, he was gone and no one but my son and I seemed to have seen him. To this day, we still believe that was an angel who pulled my son from that water. My son says he looked a lot like Jesus.
Thank you God for saving my sons life.

One morning while driving in rush hour in heavy traffic going north on the Tri-state a truck with a trailer cut in front of me. I wasn’t going more than 60 and I stepped on the brake to slow down and suddenly my car swerved to the left and then to the right and then spun around with cars all around me.
I literally went across all three lanes. I did not hit one car. I was watching my car spin out of control and couldn’t do a thing to stop it! All I could do was grip the steering wheel and say Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh My God. I kept waiting for the impact of a crash. I finally came to a stop with my car facing west across two lanes with cars headed north toward me. I watched these cars stop one at a time and I felt like I was in a dream. It was slow motion and unbelievable.
I finally was able to get a hold of myself and pull over on the shoulder. The tears were literally just rolling down my face and I was in a complete state of shock. I looked around and all the surrounding cars seemed to be pushed aside. I looked up and said thank you. All I know is that was a true miracle. I did not hit one car and I wasn’t hit by one car. I cannot believe it still. It was THE most terrifying moment of my life. I know without any doubt God was there. There’s no other explanation.
